About Us
The Lower East Side People’s Federal Credit Union (LESPFCU) is a multiple common bond credit union that serves employees and volunteers of the Lower East Side People’s Mutual Housing Association, Neighborhood Economic Development Advocacy Project (NEDAP), the Urban Homesteading Assistance Board (UHAB), People’s Center for Economic Independence (PCEI) and Project Enterprise.
We also serve anyone who lives, works, volunteers, worships, or attends school in Manhattan Community Board 3 (Lower East Side) and Manhattan Community Board 10 (Central Harlem). Any organization or business located in these areas may also join the credit union.
We also serve anyone who lives or works in a Housing Development Fund Corporation building (HDFC), anyone who lives in a building which participates in NYC HPD’s DAMP program, and/or anyone who lives in a building which participates in programs of the Urban Homesteading Assistance Board (UHAB) throughout the five boroughs of New York.
If you live in one of the five boroughs of New York and have a household income less than $38,000 per year, you can also become a member of the LESPFCU through the People’s Center for Economic Independence (PCEI).
