BUSINESS FINANCIAL EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM: Take Your Business Management to the Next Level!

This program is designed to help existing business owners address the most common gaps in financial management and help them access capital for growth and expansion. Participants will build awareness around financial concepts, management and strategy. The program includes interactive group sessions and individualized counseling.

DAY 1: Wednesday, February 15, 2017

On Wednesday, December 7, 2016, at 5:30 PM, our panel of expert lawyers will discuss:

  • Learn to identify and understand intellectual property issues for small businesses
  • What is the difference between a trademark, a copyright and a patent?
  • What steps can you take to protect your original work (Product, logo, etc.)?
  • What are your rights?
  • What should you do if someone has violated your rights?

Who is eligible?

• Any operating business located in a low to moderate income area and/or owned by disadvantaged entrepreneurs (minority, women, and/ or veteran owned).
• Business must be located in NY or doing business in NY with at least 6 months in operation.

Qualified businesses will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
Participant must agree to attend ALL sessions and complete a small business financial health survey. Participation is free. Space is limited.
