Standing up for the security of IDNYC card holders

Les People’s FCU joined Inclusiv, the network of community development credit unions, and other coalitions in cautioning the City and its proposed IDNYC program changes.

We believe that the City’s intent to make the card relevant for years to come by the integration of a “chip technology” directly onto the IDNYC raises a host of privacy, security, consumer protection, and other concerns.

As a community development credit union whose mission is to serve low income, immigrant and other underserved communities, we propose finding other solutions to bring financial inclusion to everyone in the City. For full testimony, click here
