Apply for membership by opening a Share (Savings) Account. It is a Share Account instead of simply a Savings Account because you will be a member owner - not a client.

A member of LES People’s FCU can vote to elect the Board of Directors and Committee members. Our financial cooperative is democratically run and your opinion will be herd.

Who Can Join?

LES People’s FCU serves a broad membership in New York City.  To be eligible to join, you must meet one of the following:

• Individuals, who live, work, volunteer, worship, attend school, or belong to any organization located in Lower East Side map, Central Harlem map, East Harlem map, or the North Shore of Staten Island map; or

• Any organization or business located in the above communities; or

• Individuals affiliated with one of our Select Partner Groups in NYC or

  • Groups such as Drivers Coop, BxFAC, CEANYC, and others

• Residents of New York City who earn less than $48,500 annually; (bring proof of income: tax return) or

• Anyone, who lives in an HDFC Co-op building; or

• A family member of an existing member

Small businesses and microenterprises throughout New York City have turned to LES People’s FCU for affordable business accounts, services and loans for over thirty years. We’ve helped businesses, established and start-ups, expand and preserve their businesses.

Eligibility

You can join LES People’s if your Business meets one of the following requirements:

• Business or Organization is located in our field of membership Lower East Side See map,, East Harlem See map, Central Harlem See map, or the North Shore of Staten Island See map; or

• Business or Organization is an HDFC Co-op building; or

• Business or Organization becomes a Select Partner Group (SPG)

• One of the Business’ or Organization’s authorized officers of is a member of LES People’s FCU
